SERVPRO of Prince Edward Island is hiring 2 Asbestos Abatement Workers (Asbestos Removers)
Business address and work location: 60 St Peters Road, Charlottetown, PE C1A 5N5. Work is performed at client job sites across Prince Edward Island.

Terms of Employment

Permanent, full-time position

Wage: $31.20 per hour

30 hours per week, day shift; overtime as required

Benefits: health and dental

Start date: as soon as possible

Duties

Remove, encapsulate and enclose asbestos-containing materials and other hazardous materials (lead, mould, insulation) from buildings

Handle, store and dispose of hazardous materials safely

Set up and take down containment, scaffolding and barricades

Assist with selective demolition





Remove debris and clean up contaminants at job sites

Load, unload and transport materials and equipment

Requirements

Secondary (high) school diploma

1 year to less than 2 years of asbestos abatement experience

Asbestos abatement training

Personal protective equipment (PPE) training

WHMIS certificate

First aid certificate

Fall arrest protection training

English

Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Able to work at heights, in dusty, noisy and hot conditions, in confined spaces and outdoors
