3PL Dispatcher

Our client, an established third-party logistics (3PL) provider located in Brampton, is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join their growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating domestic and cross-border shipments, working closely with carriers, customers and internal warehouse operations to ensure the efficient and timely movement of freight. The ideal candidate will bring strong transportation knowledge, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics workplace.

3PL Dispatcher

Our client, an established third-party logistics (3PL) provider located in Brampton, is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join their growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating domestic and cross-border shipments, working closely with carriers, customers and internal warehouse operations to ensure the efficient and timely movement of freight. The ideal candidate will bring strong transportation knowledge, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities:

·Arrange pickup/delivery of customer orders for both domestic and transborder shipments

·Deal with a variety of different carriers to secure rates, availability and transit time

·Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures to drivers and carrier dispatch

·Track and trace shipments, monitor shipments and relay status to customers

·Communicate with Customer Service Representatives and warehouse operations for order completion





·Update TMS with accessorial charges and ensure the load is complete and accurate for billing

·Schedule appointments for inbounds and outbounds

·Coordinate container and airport deliveries to warehouse

·Assist customers and other third parties with inquiries and problem resolution; escalate when required

·Obtain carrier packages and insurance/WSIB/etc.

·Provide carrier rates to the Rating Department for quoting and prospecting purposes

·Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Skill and Qualifications:

·3+ years of transportation experience.

·Strong written and verbal communication skills

·Strong organizational, time management, multitasking and problem-solving skills

·Capable of communicating effectively in a concise, skilled manner

·Attention to detail and accuracy

·Proficient working with MS Office including Outlook

·Proficient working knowledge in ERP/TMS software
