Key Responsibilities: Design and execute mechanical and impact testing campaigns
Perform explicit energetic finite element simulations
Correlate simulation results with physical testing
Develop and validate material models
Present technical conclusions and recommendations during reviews
Requirements: Six-plus years in an R&D; engineering role
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Hands-on testing setup, instrumentation, acquisition, and analysis experience
Proficiency with LS-DYNA, Abaqus, Ansys, or equivalent
OIQ membership or eligibility for membership
Apply mechanical testing, explicit dynamic FEA, and simulation-to-test correlation across demanding R&D; validation programs.
