About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing fintech startup, is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Blockchain Developer to join their agile team in Kimberley . You will work under the guidance of senior developers, gaining hands-on experience in developing, testing, and deploying smart contracts and decentralized applications. We are looking for a candidate with a foundational understanding of blockchain principles and a strong desire to grow within the crypto and blockchain space. The role utilizes a hybrid work model, blending in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the development and testing of smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps).
- Write clean, well-documented code under the supervision of senior developers.
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve issues in development and testing environments.
- Research new blockchain technologies and tools.
- Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements.
- Contribute to maintaining the codebase and improving its quality.




- Learn and apply security best practices in development.
- Assist in deploying smart contracts to various networks.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Foundational knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and smart contracts.
- Basic programming skills in languages like Solidity, JavaScript, or Python.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Remix, Truffle, or Hardhat is a plus.
- Strong desire to learn and develop skills in blockchain development.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Kimberley .
