Support pastoral care and first-line medical needs as an Assistant in Eton College’s boarding house. This live-out role requires flexible availability.

The Dame’s Assistant works with the Dame to support pupils and daily house operations. Responsibilities include pastoral care, medical administration, laundry supervision, cleaning, and Messing Teas. The role also supports safeguarding, house events, maintenance reporting, and communication with parents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide sympathetic pastoral care and safeguard pupil welfare
- Deputise for the Dame during absences and time-off
- Provide first-line medical care and administer medicines
- Supervise laundry, Messing Teas, and pupil room order
- Maintain cleanliness and report house maintenance concerns

Requirements:

- Pastoral care experience with children or young adults desirable
- First Aid or relevant medical training desirable
- Solid communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Competent Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
- Flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights
