My brother and I work full-time, and we are seeking a caregiver to help care for our children, who are 5 & 6 years old.

Title of Position: Caregiver Provider – Private Home

Type of Position: Permanent, full-time

Job Duties:

- Tend to the emotional well-being of our children
- Supervise and care for our children
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Organize activities such as games and outings for our children
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Take our children to and from school and to appointments when necessary
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Prepare our children for rest periods
- Bathe, dress and feed our children
- Discipline our children according to the methods requested by us, the parents
- Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties for our children




- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

Skills Required:

- Minimum 1 Year paid full time work experience as a caregiver within the last 3 years
- Must have good and verifiable references for childcare
- Completion of High School, minimum 12 years of total education or equivalent
- A 6-month in-class caregiver training course is considered an asset
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in English

Work Setting:

Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. NOTE: This is NOT a condition of employment.

Wage and Number of Hours per week: $20.00 per hour, 35 hours per week plus overtime, when necessary, two days off per week (Saturday & Sunday)
