This role will support a wide variety of marketing initiatives across Science North and Dynamic Earth, working on campaigns, programs, events, exhibitions and other projects that connect people with science in fun and meaningful ways.Working in a fast-paced environment under the supervision of a Senior Marketing Specialist, you will contribute to the planning and execution of marketing, media relations, social media and communications initiatives. As the successful candidate you will be a strong communicator, organized project manager and creative thinker who enjoys working collaboratively with teams across the organization.You will:Support the development and execution of creative marketing tactics, action plans and campaigns across a variety of Science North and Dynamic Earth projectsContribute fresh, creative and out-of-the-box ideas to help attract new audiences, increase engagement and strengthen relationships with existing audiencesSupport integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, traditional, experiential and other channelsWork with internal teams to identify marketing opportunities and develop tactics that support program, event, exhibition and revenue-generating goalsSupport the Social Media Senior Specialist by contributing ideas and content for social media, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other platformsWrite, edit and proofread a variety of marketing and communications materials, including web content, e-newsletters, promotional materials and internal communicationsManage assigned marketing budgets, including tracking expenditures, coordinate invoices and purchase orders, and ensure project spending stays within approved budgetsSupport the development and distribution of news releases and other media relations materialsTrack and report on campaign and digital marketing performance and use insights to inform future tacticsCoordinate marketing activities,



timelines and deliverables across multiple projectsMaintain marketing calendars and help ensure projects stay on scheduleSupport the planning and promotion of events, activations and other audience-facing initiativesWork with designers to develop creative assets and ensure brand consistencyCollaborate with teams across Science North and Dynamic Earth to gather information, develop content and deliver marketing initiativesAssist with research into audiences, marketing trends and new promotional opportunitiesStay current with social media, digital marketing and emerging marketing trends and sharing relevant ideas with the Marketing teamYou will join us with:A background in marketing, communications or a related field, and/or relevant experienceDemonstrated experience supporting or executing marketing campaigns and initiativesStrong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and creatively for a variety of audiences and channelsStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesExceptional attention to detail and a strong ability to follow projects through; from concept to completionA creative, cooperative and solutions-oriented approach to your workExperience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTokProficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft OfficeA willingness and ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events and other initiatives, as coordinated by the Marketing departmentExperience with design software, such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud, is an assetFoundational understanding of marketing budgets and experience tracking project expenses is an assetExperience with digital marketing,
