Want to play a part of innovating and optimizing the mining life cycle on greenfield and brownfield facilities?As The Successful Candidate, You WillDesign flowsheets for each unique ore or feedstock, optimizing the business case for implementationAssist in feasibility studies and detailed design for metals; particularly lithium, rare earths and other battery material related projectsPrepare design calculations and documentation and development of mass balance models in simulation software (METSIM, Sys CAD, IDEAS)Provide process design requirements to designersPrepare process equipment data sheets, including technical details and duties as required.Ensure process specifications portray the appropriate information and design intent.Participate in HazopsWork with the project team to prepare capital and operating cost estimates.Assist in plant commissioning for metals, battery material and rare earthsYou Bring To The RoleProcess experience in either an engineering contracting environment or consultancy organisations in the metallurgical industry.



Experience in the design and operation of hydrometallurgy and pyrometallurgy processes for metals - lithium, nickel, cobalt, copper, zinc, gold and rare earths will be highly regarded, as will operational experience.Recognised qualifications in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering from an accredited college or universityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPlanning and organizational skillsGood general computer literacyBase Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
