This Senior Exploration Geologist role focuses on identifying and evaluating gold and base metal prospects. You will manage programs from desktop studies through drill design and supervision. The position requires grassroots exploration experience, geological interpretation skills, and independent delivery in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret regional geology, geophysics, geochemistry, and historical reports
- Generate and prioritize gold and base metal exploration targets
- Design and supervise mapping, sampling, surveys, and drilling
- Refine geological models using integrated exploration data
- Prepare technical reports and exploration strategy recommendations
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Geology or related earth science
- At least 10 years’ mineral exploration experience
- Demonstrated grassroots exploration and target generation success
- ArcGIS, Leapfrog Geo, ioGAS, and database management proficiency
- Based in South Africa for potential occasional site visits
