Must Have

- 7+ years of experience developing and documenting ETL processes for data conversion and migration projects.
- Extensive experience with:
- Data migration and migration planning for digital transformation initiatives.
- Migrating data from legacy applications to modernized solutions using ETL methodologies.
- Relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Azure SQL Database.
- Complex SQL development, data analysis, data validation, and technical problem resolution.

- Experience with:

- Migrating document attachments from legacy systems to modernized solutions.
- Cloud database technologies, such as Azure SQL.
- ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, or similar technologies.
- Developing ETL and data migration documentation, including ETL mappings, data dictionaries, business cases, data migration strategies, and plans.

- Extensive experience in data migration and migration planning for digital transformation initiatives, including migrating data from legacy applications to modernized solutions using ETL methodologies.




- Extensive experience with various database structures and RDBMS technologies, including Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Azure SQL Database, as well as writing complex SQL queries, conducting data analysis and validation, and solving complex technical problems.
- Experience migrating document attachments from legacy solutions to new modernized solutions.
- Experience working with cloud database technologies, such as Azure SQL.
- Experience working with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, and similar technologies.
- Experience developing documentation such as ETL mappings, data dictionaries, business cases, data migration strategies, and plans.
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
- Excellent understanding of master data and transactional data concepts and their interdependencies.

A Senior Software Developer – ETL is required to provide best-practice migration solutions and oversee all aspects of data and file migration from a legacy application to a new solution.

Scope

A Senior Software Developer – ETL is required to provide best-practice migration solutions and oversee all aspects of data and file migration from a legacy application to a current solution.

Assignment Deliverables





- Provide best-practice migration solutions and oversee all aspects of data and file migration from a legacy application to a new solution.
- Establish a strong working relationship with clients, interact effectively at all levels, and analyse legacy data and files stored in a variety of data sources and formats.
- Analyse and complete data profiling and recommend any pre-migration data-cleansing activities.
- Complete the data migration strategy and data mapping, define interfaces, perform mock conversions, define enhancements, and perform actual conversions.
- Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining programs, and conducting unit tests.
- Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems that arise during the use and operation of software packages, including providing technical assistance with implementation, conversion, and migrations.
- Work with file imports from heterogeneous platforms and coordinate data file migration.
- Define the testing strategy, plan and conduct testing, and ensure data integrity and data comparisons.
- Perform post-migration audits and data reconciliation.
- Generate data migration exception reports and perform data cleansing as required.
- Provide pre- and post-effective-conversion support to business clients.
