Apply journeyperson powerline expertise to overhead and underground distribution systems with Valard Construction in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. Work Monday to Friday.

This Powerline Technician position supports Valard Construction’s Saskatchewan Distribution group and reports to an Operations Leader or Foreman. You will construct, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical distribution systems using cables, conduits, transformers, and specialized tools. The work includes live-line activities, high-voltage switching, and emergency restoration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead overhead and underground powerline construction and modifications
- Perform live-line work using rubber-glove and hot-stick methods
- Install poles, transformers, switches, fuses, and insulators




- Troubleshoot faults and repair distribution systems
- Respond to outages and restore electrical service

Requirements:

- Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification
- Overhead and underground distribution experience from 14.4kV to 25kV
- Knowledge of electrical theory and safety procedures
- Proficiency with locating, splicing, and testing equipment
- Valid driver’s license and Saskatchewan residency
