Jones Feed Mills is a family-owned and operated feed manufacturing mill that produces high quality feeds for livestock producers throughout Ontario. Currently we have an opening for a full-time Monogastric Nutritionist at our Linwood location.

We are a sales driven nutrition company, focused on providing expert nutritional programs based on the latest research and most up to date information available. The Nutrition Team focuses on providing customers with nutritional solutions that fit their operations and meet their specific goals.

Responsibilities include:

· Provide support and training to sales staff, office staff and customers on how to apply Jones programs at a production level. Including

o on farm support and phone, emails, etc.

o literature for branded programs

· Maintain formulations and evaluate formula updates based on ingredient price and availability changes and QC updates

· Collaborate with monogastric team members and sales staff to ensure “Jones” branded programs are meeting the needs of the marketplace.

· Assist in maintaining QC databases for ingredients and additives. Includes critically assessing sampling schedules and lab results analysis and utilization.

· Collaborate with production, transportation, and customer service staff to troubleshoot and support customer needs.

· Troubleshoot QC concerns at the customer and manufacturing level and provide timely response and feedback to QC team, including recommending corrective actions.

· Support compliance with all poultry and swine programs (organic, RWA, ABF), and CFIA, GMP and HACCP requirements.





· Collaborate with the monogastric team and network with industry members to ensure Jones programs continue to reflect up to date nutritional strategies, utilize new ingredient and additive opportunities, and address market needs.

· Utilize performance data to assess program performance, provide benchmarks to customers, and identify opportunities for program innovation

· Work with sales staff to provide extension and education materials to promote and guide use of “Jones” branded products as well as provide technical resources to support customers’ operations.

· Represent Jones Feed Mills Ltd at industry functions and meetings

Other Tasks include:

· Basic nutritional support for all species; answering basic nutritional questions, responding to queries regarding species other than monogastrics.

· Engage with potential and key customers, make recommendations and actively sell Jones Nutritional Programs.

· Maintain a current knowledge of research and developments within the nutrition field.

Qualifications:

· A minimum of MSc. Degree in Poultry or Swine Nutrition and/or equivalent work experience.

· Experience with BestMix formulation and QC software an asset.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workplace.

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
