Production Packager

Location: Orangeville, ON (on-site)
Pay: $17.95 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday; shifts start between 5:00 AM and 4:00 PM and may run 8–10 hours

Job Overview

We are recruiting a Production Packager for an on-site cheese manufacturing facility in Orangeville. In this hands-on role, you will package and inspect products, support daily production, and help keep the work area safe and organized. This temporary position offers the possibility of permanent employment based on performance and business needs.

Required Qualifications

- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to maintain consistent attendance.
- Able to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift and work shifts that may extend to 8–10 hours.
- Able to perform repetitive bending, reaching, lifting, and product handling safely.
- Comfortable working at a consistent pace in a food production setting.
- Able to follow instructions and food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Previous production, packaging, food manufacturing, or warehouse experience is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

- Package, label, and prepare cheese products for shipment.
- Operate as part of the production line and complete assigned manufacturing tasks.
- Inspect products and packaging to confirm quality standards are met.




- Organize finished products and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, PPE, and workplace safety procedures.
- Work with team members to meet daily production requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role involves repetitive tasks and requires physical stamina throughout the shift. Candidates should be comfortable with the following conditions:

- Standing and walking for an 8-hour shift.
- Repetitive bending, reaching, lifting, and handling products.
- Working at a consistent pace in a production setting.
- Working shifts that may extend to 8–10 hours.
- The facility is climate controlled, although temperatures may vary within the plant.
- A noticeable cheese and food-production odour is present.
- Required personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.

Pay and Opportunity
