Drive cost analysis at Gerdau’s Selkirk facility as Controller, using accounting expertise and financial reporting to support operational cost reduction. Analyze results, inventories, and forecasts for informed division decisions.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Controller oversees accuracy and analysis of the division’s financial records. This role requires knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial regulations. You will explain variances, coordinate planning data, review projects, and provide analytic reports supporting operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure production and ending inventory accuracy
- Validate raw material usage and other division costs
- Review statements and explain variances to management




- Analyze monthly results against forecasts and benchmarks
- Coordinate business plan and quarterly forecast data

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Five to eight years’ practical accounting experience
- Knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
- ERP, SAP, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power BI knowledge
- Solid leadership and communication skills
