A large and one of the most recognized and reputable car rental companies with thousands of car rental locations across the US and the world, is currently hiring a Car Maintenance/De-Fueling Technician for their Richmond, BC location.

Job Summary

Join our team as a Car Maintenance technician specializing in De-Fueling operations. In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face responsible for ensuring vehicles are serviced efficiently and safely. Your primary focus will be on de-fueling vehicles, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service to create a positive experience for every guest. Location: Richmond, BC

Term: 3-month contract with potential for long-term employment

Pay: $21 to $24/hr

Hours of Operation: 6am to 11pm (7 days a week)

Schedule: Flexible. 8am to 5pm preferred, Monday to Friday.

Duties

- Safely de-fuel vehicles according to company procedures and safety standards
- Assist customers with vehicle needs, answering questions and providing friendly service
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including fueling stations and surrounding spaces




- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and fuel dispensers to ensure proper operation
- Follow safety protocols during all fueling and de-fueling activities to prevent accidents
- Support team members with additional vehicle servicing tasks as needed
- Document all fueling activities accurately and report any issues or safety concerns promptly

Requirements

- Prior experience in cleaning or vehicle maintenance is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, approachable attitude
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and equipment inspections
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to full-time hours from 11am to 8pm
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a busy setting
