The Kindergarten Driver & Education Assistant in Airdrie supports children’s safe transportation and learning through dependable driving and practical classroom assistance. The role combines attentive supervision, clear communication, and support for children’s participation in daily educational activities.
Responsibilities
- The primary role: Drive children after Kindergarten to their home between (11:30am-1pm), following established safety procedures and maintaining attentive supervision. 15-seater passenger Transit vehicle (Class 4 drivers license is required)
- If more hours are preferred: Support children with different abilities and help create an inclusive, welcoming learning environment in our Kindergarten class. (EA for severe special needs children from 7:45am-11:30am).
- Communicate respectfully with children, families, and colleagues, and share relevant observations with the team
- Assist with classroom routines, learning activities, and teaching support, adapting guidance to children’s needs in the Kindergarten class
Skills
Required: Current holder or willing to obtain a Class 4 Drivers License, ECE Level 1, & 1st Aid.
Required: Clear communication, patience, attentive supervision, and practical support for children’s learning are important to carrying out transportation and classroom duties safely and effectively.
Preferred: Classroom experience, early childhood education, and experience working with children or individuals with disabilities can strengthen your contribution.

Pay: From $19.64 per hour
