Community Relations Manager (CRM)
Location: The Richmond Retirement Residence
Employment: Full-Time
Industry: Retirement Living / Seniors Housing
Comfort of Living is looking for an exceptional Community Relations Manager to drive occupancy and community awareness for our retirement residence in Belleville.
We are looking for a strong salesperson and relationship builder who knows how to develop leads, build trust with seniors and families, create referral relationships, conduct exceptional tours and, most importantly, convert opportunities into move-ins.
This is not a passive sales position. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, organized, persistent with follow-up and comfortable being accountable for results.
What You Will Own: Sales & Occupancy Growth
- Take ownership of the complete sales cycle from initial inquiry through move-in.
- Consistently drive occupancy toward established targets.
- Respond quickly and professionally to new inquiries.
- Qualify prospects and understand their care needs, timeline, preferences and decision-making process.
- Conduct personalized, high-quality tours.
- Build trust with prospective residents and families throughout what can be a significant life transition.
- Maintain consistent and meaningful follow-up with every qualified prospect.
- Develop strategies to convert warm leads and stalled opportunities.
- Maintain an active pipeline of future prospects.
- Understand why prospects are lost and use that information to improve conversion.
- Meet established expectations for leads, tours, follow-ups, deposits and move-ins.
Community Outreach & Lead Generation
- Build and maintain strong referral relationships throughout Belleville and the surrounding area.
- Conduct consistent external outreach each week.
- Develop relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, healthcare providers, Ontario Health atHome, physicians, pharmacies, seniors' organizations and community partners.
- Identify new referral opportunities rather than relying solely on incoming inquiries.
- Represent the residence at networking opportunities, community events and relevant local organizations.
- Develop creative ways to increase awareness and generate qualified leads.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate and current prospect information within the company's CRM system.
- Document calls, emails, tours, follow-ups and next steps.
- Ensure every qualified prospect has a clear next action.
- Prioritize prospects based on readiness and opportunity.
- Maintain disciplined follow-up schedules.
- Provide accurate sales pipeline and occupancy reporting.
- Use CRM information to identify opportunities requiring immediate attention.
Tours & Conversion
- Prepare thoroughly for every scheduled tour.
- Personalize the tour around the prospective resident's needs rather than providing a generic walkthrough.
- Understand and confidently communicate the residence's services, lifestyle, care options and value.
- Address questions and objections professionally.
- Create appropriate urgency without applying inappropriate pressure.
- Follow up promptly after every tour.
- Ask for the business and confidently move qualified prospects toward the next step.
Resident & Family Relationships
- Provide a warm, responsive and qualified experience from the first inquiry through move-in.
- Communicate effectively with seniors and family decision-makers.
- Coordinate with residence leadership and clinical teams when assessments or care discussions are required.
- Ensure families understand the next steps and receive timely communication.
- Support a smooth transition into the residence.
The Person We Are Looking For

- Highly sales-driven and results-oriented
- An excellent relationship builder
- Confident asking for the business and closing
- Persistent without being aggressive
- Extremely strong with follow-up
- Comfortable being accountable for occupancy and conversion results
- Proactive about generating their own leads
- Comfortable spending time outside the residence developing referral relationships
- Professional and polished when dealing with families and healthcare partners
- Organized and disciplined with CRM management
- Able to manage a large pipeline without allowing opportunities to fall through the cracks
- Creative in developing new sources of business
- Comfortable working toward measurable targets and KPIs
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with the residence and Head Office teams
- Compassionate and respectful when working with seniors and families
