Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Take customer orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring quick service during busy periods
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using basic math skills
- Assist with food preparation and food handling to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner and addressing their needs
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Follow all food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided for those new to the industry
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in serving, cashiering, or food preparation is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy are essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is beneficial
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely order completion during busy hours
