Junior Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant – 1-Year Contract

We are currently seeking a Junior Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join a busy and professional legal team for a 1-year contract position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior LAA with 1–3 years of litigation experience who is looking to further develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative legal workplace.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities while providing administrative support to a busy litigation practice.

The Role

- Open, organize and maintain client files using document and case management systems.
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence and forms for review by clients and legal professionals.
- Communicate professionally with clients and other parties regarding file-related matters.
- Assist with document preparation, organization and ongoing file management.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure documents are properly filed and accessible.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the litigation team.
- Manage competing deadlines and ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

- Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma from a recognized institution.




- 1–3 years of litigation experience within a law firm.
- Strong organizational and document management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and legal document management software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and take initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, personable and confident when communicating with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities in a busy legal environment.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- A positive, adaptable attitude and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
