Overview

As a Tile Setter, you’ll prepare surfaces and install tile with care and precision, following project plans and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Your work helps deliver durable, finished spaces that meet project needs.

Responsibilities

- Prepare surfaces, measure work areas, and plan tile layouts using project instructions and blueprints.
- Cut and lay tile, align patterns, and secure materials to create even, consistent installations.
- Apply grout and caulking, finish edges, and check completed work for quality and accuracy.
- Use and care for hand tools, keep the work area orderly, and coordinate progress with colleagues.
- Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered Prepare rough plans and sketches Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs Cut, surface,



polish and install marble and granite Estimate costs and materials

Skills

Required: Practical ability to use hand tools, measure and prepare surfaces, and complete careful tile laying and flooring installation is essential to performing the work. Blueprint reading supports accurate layouts and helps keep installations aligned with project plans. Preferred: Construction experience, carpentry skills, caulking experience, or handyman experience can be useful in handling wide-ranging preparation and finishing tasks. Your impact: Precise installation helps colleagues deliver polished, dependable spaces.

Pay: $38.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
