We are seeking a technically skilled and self-motivated Systems Configuration & Support Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of networking, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the confidence to diagnose and resolve technical problems independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Install and configure IP cameras, NVRs, access control systems, and related security equipment.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, device communication, and system integration issues.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for residential and commercial customers.
- Perform firmware updates, system upgrades, preventive maintenance, and equipment replacement.
- Configure and support smart home and audio/video control systems.
- Identify root causes of technical issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records, troubleshooting notes, and technical documentation.
- Work independently on assigned service calls and coordinate with other technicians when required.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, LAN/WAN, and general networking concepts.
- Experience configuring routers, managed switches, Wi-Fi networks, and IP-based devices.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic computer troubleshooting.
- Experience with IP surveillance, NVRs, access control, or security systems preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to diagnose technical issues systematically and work independently.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

- Ubiquiti UniFi networking equipment
- Dahua or Hikvision surveillance systems
- Control4 smart home automation
- Access control and alarm systems
- Remote monitoring and technical support tools
- Basic Linux administration, scripting, or IT automation
- Chinese language skills (Mandarin or Cantonese)
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Ontario G2 or G driver's license.
- Own reliable vehicle for traveling to job sites.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to travel to customer locations throughout the GTA.
- Responsible, organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
