We are looking for an experienced renovation carpenter to join our elite team. The ideal candidate has a passion for their work, an eye for details, and a mind for bringing it all together. The Lead Carpenter will oversee project work on site, manage an apprentice/labourer, ensure that all work meets quality standards and is completed on time. They would also be responsible for coordinating with other trades to achieve project goals.
10 years experience in the trade and Red Seal Certification are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Absorb and retain all the details required to bring a project together.
- Maintain a safe, orgainized, clean, and productive job site.
- Perform a variety of skilled tasks, including but not limited to installing and maintaining site protection, light demolition/deconstruction, renovation specific framing (floor/ceiling levelling, wall flattening/squaring), installing trim, doors, misc finishing work, exterior cladding and building envelope sealing.
- Read and interpret architectural and designer drawings .
- Work safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as necessary.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to coordinate work schedules and project timelines.
Skills
- High-level carpentry skills in framing and trim, able to achieve flawless finishes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that arise on the job site.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration with other trades.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
