Job Overview

- We are seeking a dependable Framer/Carpenter to support residential construction and restoration projects. Upcoming work includes sistering floor joists on an active residential job site and framing a new deck. This hands-on role involves building, repairing, and reinforcing structures while following project plans, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- The ideal candidate has practical carpentry and framing experience, works well with a crew, and is comfortable using hand and power tools.
- This is a paid hourly position. Applicants should be prepared for physical work, including lifting materials, working in tight spaces such as basements and crawlspaces, and spending extended periods on active job sites.

Duties

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineer’s details to understand dimensions, layouts, and construction requirements.
- Sister existing floor joists: prep and clear the work area, cut and fit new members, and fasten them to the existing framing as specified.
- Frame decks, including layout, ledger installation, posts, beams, joists, and blocking.
- Measure, cut, assemble,



and install framing and other wood components using hand tools and power tools.
- Select, handle, and work with lumber and other materials for framing tasks.
- Follow job-site safety practices, protect the client’s home, keep tools and work areas orderly, and coordinate with other trades.
- Lift, carry, and position construction materials using safe handling techniques.
- Perform related carpentry and construction tasks as assigned.

Experience

- Prior residential framing experience is required. Experience with joist sistering, structural repairs, or deck framing is a strong advantage.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is preferred; willingness to develop these skills is welcome.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and framing techniques is expected.
- Must be able to perform physical job duties, including heavy lifting, while following secure work practices.

Pay: $21.84-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
