Overview

We are seeking a friendly, dependable Cashier/Sales Assistant to support daily retail operations and create a welcoming customer experience. This role combines accurate cashiering with hands-on sales assistance, product demonstrations, and merchandising. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, stays organized in a busy environment, and enjoys helping customers find products that meet their needs.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide attentive, professional customer service.
- Process purchases and returns using the POS system, handling cash and other payment methods accurately.
- Apply basic math skills to verify transactions and provide correct change.
- Assist with retail sales by learning product features and explaining options to customers.
- Demonstrate products and support technology sales by helping customers understand product functions and use.
- Identify relevant add-ons and use thoughtful upselling techniques without pressuring customers.
- Maintain attractive product displays, restock merchandise, and support store merchandising standards.




- Keep the checkout area and sales floor organized, clean, and ready for customers.
- Answer customer calls and use skilled phone etiquette.
- Coordinate tasks with coworkers and manage time effectively during busy periods.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience or interest in cashiering, cash handling, POS systems, retail sales, or sales.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail when processing transactions.
- Confidence learning product information and conducting product demos; technology sales or technical sales experience is a plus.
- Good time management and the ability to balance customer needs with routine store tasks.
- Professional phone etiquette and a courteous, helpful approach.
- English proficiency required for customer and team communication.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
