Overview

The Building Maintenance Superintendent coordinates building and equipment maintenance, guiding daily work and planned projects to support safe, reliable operations. This hands-on leadership role combines maintenance management with practical mechanical and electrical knowledge across building systems and industrial settings.

Responsibilities

- Supervise maintenance staff, assign work, and provide explicit direction, fostering accountability and effective teamwork.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance projects, prioritize repairs, and track work orders using a CMMS.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and low-voltage systems; interpret schematics and support programmable logic controller troubleshooting.




- Coordinate preventive maintenance for building and manufacturing equipment, communicate priorities, and keep colleagues informed of progress.

Qualifications

Required: Practical maintenance management, leadership, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret schematics and communicate clearly in English are essential to coordinating work and supporting repairs. Preferred: Supervising experience, project management, industrial maintenance or manufacturing experience, and familiarity with CMMS, programmable logic controllers, electrical systems, HVAC, and low-voltage equipment are valuable strengths for this role.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
