Aluminar Systems Inc. is a Canadian-owned company with over 40 years of experience designing and fabricating custom modular aluminum systems for architectural, healthcare, laboratory, research, and cleanroom applications.

We are a small, specialized fabrication shop that takes pride in quality workmanship, practical problem-solving, and building products to meet each project's requirements. Our close-knit team works collaboratively, and every team member plays an important role in the quality of our finished products.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on individual to join our shop team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, building things, learning practical skills, and taking pride in doing a job well.

You will assist with fabricating and assembling custom aluminum framing systems and related components. You'll work alongside experienced team members, learn our products and processes, and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop.

We're interested in someone who is mechanically inclined, pays attention to detail, and wants to become a capable and dependable member of our fabrication team.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with fabricating and assembling custom aluminum framing systems, enclosures, and related components.
- Measure, mark, cut, prepare, and assemble materials according to project requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and shop machinery safely and effectively.
- Read and follow measurements, shop drawings, and fabrication instructions.
- Check work for accuracy, fit, finish, and overall quality.
- Prepare materials and assist with organizing inventory and shop supplies.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and protected.




- Work with the shop lead hand and project manager to complete work efficiently and on schedule.
- Identify problems or discrepancies and communicate them before they affect the finished product.
- Follow shop safety procedures and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

What We're Looking For

- Some experience in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, assembly, or another hands-on role is preferred.
- Comfortable working with tools and interested in learning fabrication techniques.
- Able to read measurements accurately and apply basic math skills.
- Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and willing to take initiative.
- Able to follow instructions, ask questions when needed, and learn from experienced team members.
- Comfortable working independently once trained, as well as contributing to a small team.
- Committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

The following experience would be an asset:

- Aluminum or metal fabrication and assembly.
- Previous experience working with doors, windows, storefront systems, glazing, or architectural framing.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, measuring equipment, and power tools.
- Basic computer skills and comfort using digital devices for work-related tasks.

We are willing to train someone with the right attitude, practical ability, and willingness to learn.

A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are preferred.
