AEC is expanding its services to support children with developmental disabilities, behavioural challenges, and complex needs.

We are planning to apply to become a qualified service provider under Alberta's Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) program and are seeking an experienced Registered Psychologist interested in joining our multidisciplinary team upon project approval.

This position will focus on providing psychological consultation, behavioural and developmental support, individualized intervention planning, and guidance to families.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct psychological, behavioural, and developmental assessments within qualified scope.
- Develop individualised intervention and behavioural support plans.
- Provide consultation and guidance to parents and caregivers.
- Support children with developmental disabilities, behavioural challenges, and complex needs.
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and behavioural specialists.




- Monitor children's progress and recommend adjustments to intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and service planning.

Qualifications

- Master's or doctoral degree in Psychology from a recognized institution.
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred, including experience supporting children with severe disabilities or mental health challenges.
- Experience providing consultation to children and families.
- Experience developing individualised intervention plans.
- Strong understanding of child development and family-centred approaches.
- Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.

Pay: $65.00-$85.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
