Competition Well Services is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver with a clean driving record to operate a metal removal truck. This is a permanent, full-time position which is typically located around central Alberta through the summer. During the winter fly-in/fly-out projects are common.

Minimum Requirements:

- Clean Class 1 driving license
- Experience driving in winter conditions, including putting on tire chains. Experience driving on ice roads is an asset, but not explicitly required.
- Oilfield tickets, including H2S, First Aid, CSO, WHIMIS, and TDG.
- Ability to work out of town or in camp as required.
- Demonstrate commitment to health & safety, and able to abide by Competition Well Services' HSE policy and procedure.
- Position is subject to pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, and potential re-testing if required for access to client sites.
- Proficient in usage of laptop and inputting data into spreadsheets or websites.
- Ability to keep track of multiple job files and location information.
- Reliable transportation to the CWS yard in Red Deer area.

Job Expectations:

- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and weekly comprehensive vehicle inspections.
- Complete daily log books.
- Travel to various locations spread across Alberta to load scrap steel into metal trailer.
- Take photos of locations once scrap steel has been removed, and upload photos into relevant job files.
- Ensure sites are left in a clean, scrap free state.
- Deliver scrap steel to disposal facilities,



ensuring accurate recording of weights and documenting any scrap credits.
- Utilize laptop to plan, organize, and execute removal of scrap steel. Upload all relevant information to respective job files, spreadsheets, and websites when required.

This is a unique position which requires the successful applicant to be able to work independently, organize their day/workflow in communication with multiple field supervisors and project managers, execute the driving and site clean up safely and complete reporting in the client's internal data management system. Preference will be given to Class 1 applicants with specific oilfield experience and demonstrated work history which includes documentation activities.
