Qualifications – Saskatchewan Healthcare Facility

- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Perioperative Nursing Certificate required
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: January 2027

- Overtime: Applicable after 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

Registered Nurses are required to practise in accordance with their professional scope of practice and applicable Saskatchewan nursing standards. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Provide safe, patient-centred nursing care throughout the perioperative process
- Prepare the operating room, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures
- Assist surgical teams during procedures while maintaining sterile technique
- Monitor patient safety and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetic providers, and other healthcare professionals
- Complete accurate patient documentation and follow infection prevention and control protocols




- Support a variety of surgical specialties and procedures based on experience and facility needs

Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.

Experience:

- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Experience across a range of surgical specialties is an asset

Skills:

- Strong perioperative assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique and operating room protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and clinical judgment

We offer:
