Overview
Trappers Transport Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Shunt Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving trailers throughout our yard, wash bay, and shop areas while ensuring the yard remains organized, safe, and efficient.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate yard tractor and related equipment
- Move trailers between yard, wash bay, and shop
- Load and unload cargo as required
- Perform daily yard checks and trailer temperature checks
- Inspect trucks and trailers and report any issues or defects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic regulations
- Work efficiently in a rapid-paced team environment

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)




- Verifiable experience as a shunt (yard) driver preferred
- Experience operating forklifts is considered an asset
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is an asset
- Basic mechanical or automotive repair skills are advantageous
- Strong understanding of safe commercial driving practices
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English

Job Type: Full-time
