Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Plant Maintenance Technician. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will assume the following responsibilities:

Job Duties:

- Performing routine maintenance of the mechanical equipment and building
- Troubleshoot breakdowns as they arise
- Applying preventative measures to the building and equipment to reduce the risk of future problems
- Performing routine maintenance on all plant equipment
- Additional duties as required
- Logging all repairs

Experience/Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical, refrigeration and compressed air systems
- Experience in a food processing plant an asset
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked

Education:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- Maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
