Job Summary

Reporting to the Shop Supervisors, the CNC Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, operating and maintaining the CNC Laser.

Duties:

- Program and set up the CNC laser cutting machine.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and similar software.
- Read work orders and tag products as required.
- Read and interpret drawings and/or blueprints.
- Check material thickness for accuracy and load material.
- Forklift experience.
- Load programs, set machine parameters and proper fixtures to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Perform dimensional inspections.
- Monitor cutting operation.
- Use various inspecting techniques.
- Assess cut pieces for quality and prepare product for delivery.
- Clean up and maintain the immediate work area in a neat and orderly fashion.




- Conduct safety checks on equipment and daily maintenance in compliance with safety standards.

Schedule:

Afternoon Shift 2:30pm – 12:30 am Mon- Thurs & Fridays 2:30pm – 7:30pm

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay after 44 hours at time and a half

· Laser Operation: 5 years (required)

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
