We are seeking an experienced Head of Merchandising to lead the development and execution of collections for a well-established Montreal fashion company. This is a strategic leadership role overseeing the Design and Sourcing teams and ensuring collections are delivered on time, on brand, and with strong commercial relevance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead, coach, and develop the Design and Sourcing teams.
- Oversee collection development, from concept and fabrics through sampling and final product.
- Manage priorities, timelines, and GTM milestones across the team.
- Ensure collections reflect the brand vision, customer needs, trends, and assortment strategy.
- Partner with Planning, Production, Supply Chain, and Merchandising to ensure collections are commercially and operationally viable.
- Lead collection reviews and provide product insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Monitor product development and proactively address delays or challenges.




- Ensure collections support sales, margin, inventory, and profitability objectives.
- Drive improvements in the development process and overall team efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

- Perfectly bilingual in French and English, written and spoken.
- 7+ years of experience in fashion merchandising, product development, or a related field.
- Strong fashion and trend expertise with a keen eye for product, fabrics, colour, and aesthetics.
- Strong commercial and analytical understanding of the fashion business.
- Proven experience leading and developing a team.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Solid understanding of the collection development and GTM process.
- Collaborative, strategic, and highly hands-on approach.
