Job Summary

- Provide friendly, efficient service in a café environment, helping create a welcoming experience for every guest.
- Support daily café operations, including food preparation, order taking, cashiering, and maintaining clean, sanitary work areas.
- Flexible schedule are available. Training will be provided on café procedures and equipment.

Duties

- Greet guests, answer questions about menu items, take orders, and provide attentive customer service.
- Use a POS system, including Micros POS where applicable, to enter orders and process transactions accurately.
- Handle cash and card payments, provide correct change, and complete basic register tasks.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures.
- Follow food-handling, sanitation, and cleanliness practices when preparing items and maintaining kitchen and service areas.
- Restock supplies, organize workstations, and assist with opening, closing, and routine cleaning tasks.




- Recommend menu items and use appropriate upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
- Coordinate with café team members to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.

Experience

- Customer service experience is important; food service, restaurant, serving, kitchen, or food industry experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with food preparation, food handling, food safety, sanitation, cashiering, cash handling, and POS systems is preferred. Micros POS experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately when processing orders and payments.
- Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
- Willingness to learn café procedures and follow established safety and cleanliness standards.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
