We are seeking a caring, creative, and dependable Lead Educator to lead our small-group (ages 4-6) learning sessions and create meaningful experiences for young children.

Position Overview

The Lead Educator will take responsibility for preparing and leading engaging, age-appropriate sessions twice a week. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys working with young children in a focused, small-group environment and values intentional planning, hands-on exploration, and positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate learning sessions.
- Prepare creative, hands-on activities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and independence.
- Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and organized learning environment.
- Prepare classroom materials and activities before each session.
- Maintain appropriate supervision and follow health and safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with families and contribute to a positive learning experience.




- Support a child-centred approach that respects each child's individual interests and developmental needs.

Qualifications

- Experience in early childhood education, preschool teaching, or a similar educational setting.
- An Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma, Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification, Montessori diploma/certification, or equivalent relevant qualifications and experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of child development and hands-on learning.
- Creativity, initiative, reliability, punctuality and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check

Schedule

- Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Start: January 2027
- Commitment: Ongoing weekly sessions, subject to the program calendar.

Applicants must be available consistently on both scheduled days.

Pay: $37.00-$40.00 per hour
