Job Summary

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for flowers, an eye for design, and the ability to create beautiful floral arrangements for everyday occasions, weddings, special events, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and create floral arrangements, bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and other floral products.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and designing arrangements for their needs and budgets.
- Prepare flowers by trimming stems, removing leaves, conditioning blooms, and maintaining freshness.
- Receive, unpack, and organize flower deliveries and floral supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the flower shop, workstations, coolers, and tools.
- Process customer orders, prepare arrangements for pickup and delivery, and ensure orders are completed on time.
- Assist with wedding flowers, event installations, and seasonal floral displays.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and handle customer inquiries.
- Monitor inventory and help minimize floral waste.
- Follow proper flower care, handling, and storage procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

- Experience in floral design or a strong interest in learning the floral trade.
- Creativity and a good eye for colour, style, and composition.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.




- Ability to work efficiently alone in a fast-paced environment, especially during holidays and peak seasons.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift floral buckets and supplies as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working in a flower shop or as a florist.
- Knowledge of different flower varieties, seasonal availability, and floral care.
- Experience creating wedding bouquets, sympathy arrangements, and event florals.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and processing customer orders.

Work Environment

This position involves working with fresh flowers, greenery, floral tools, and various supplies in a retail flower shop. The role may require standing for long periods, handling deliveries, and working flexible hours during busy seasons.
