Job Summary

The Welder/Fabricator builds, modifies, and repairs metal components by interpreting drawings, preparing materials, and completing welding and fabrication work. The role combines hands-on production with attention to fit, measurements, and safe handling.

Responsibilities

- Read blueprints and schematics, use basic math and calipers, and prepare materials with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and press brake machines.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding, machining, assembly, and fabrication for manufacturing, construction, or ductwork projects.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to inspect work, check dimensions, and support quality and secure work practices.
- Use rigging, crane, or forklift equipment as appropriate to move materials and completed assemblies.

Experience

Required: Practical welding and fabrication capabilities, blueprint reading, basic math, and safe use of hand and power tools support accurate work. Preferred: Experience with MIG or TIG welding, machining, calipers, plasma cutting, press brake machines, rigging, cranes, forklifts, manufacturing, ductwork, construction, schematics, or assembly is advantageous.
