Job Overview

- The Night Shift Dispatch Supervisor oversees overnight dispatch and shipping operations, coordinating freight movement and supporting reliable service across the supply chain.
- This role works closely with drivers, warehouse teams, customers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to keep shipments moving safely and on schedule.
- The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable using dispatch and business systems in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Coordinate nightly dispatch plans, assign loads, and monitor shipment progress to support on-time delivery.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, warehouse staff, and 3PL partners to resolve delays, routing changes, and other operational issues.
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities, ensuring freight documentation and shipment details are accurate.
- Enter and update shipment, driver, and order information in transportation management systems and related software.
- Review operational data, identify trends or discrepancies, and use analysis skills to recommend process improvements.
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls using multi-line phone systems, maintaining qualified phone etiquette.




- Prepare shift updates and communicate important information to the next team.
- Support safe work practices and follow established procedures for dispatch, freight handling, and recordkeeping.

Experience

- Experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, freight, shipping and receiving, or supply chain operations is preferred.
- Previous experience coordinating drivers, shipments, or 3PL services is an asset.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems, the ability to learn new software is important.
- Strong data entry and typing skills, with careful attention to accuracy and detail.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated analysis skills, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize tasks during a busy overnight shift.
- Professional phone etiquette and experience with multi-line phone systems are desirable.

Sunday 4pm - 12 am

Monday 4pm - 1 am

Tuesday 4pm - 1 am

Wednesday 4pm - 1am

Thursday 4pm -1am

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
