Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Steel Framer to help build, install, and repair structural framing on construction projects. The role involves working from blueprints and schematics, using hand and power tools, and coordinating with other trades to complete work safely and accurately. Construction experience is preferred; related skills in carpentry, woodworking, concrete work, or restoration are valuable.

Duties

- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and schematics to plan framing work.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install steel framing components according to project specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete framing, fastening, and adjustment tasks.
- Assist with concrete forming and, when qualified, concrete finishing.
- Coordinate framing work with crews performing drywall, siding, restoration, and other construction tasks.
- Move materials and equipment around the job site, including performing required heavy lifting.
- Operate heavy equipment when trained and authorized to do so.
- Support welding tasks when qualified and follow applicable site procedures.




- Inspect completed work for alignment, stability, and conformance with plans.
- Maintain an orderly work area and follow job-site safety requirements.

Requirements

- Construction experience is preferred, particularly in steel framing, carpentry, or woodworking.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics, or willingness to develop this skill.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools; ability to use them safely.
- Ability to perform physical work, including heavy lifting and standing, bending, and working at varying heights as required.
- Experience with concrete forming, concrete finishing, drywall, siding, or restoration is an asset.
- Heavy equipment operation and welding experience are helpful but not required.
- Dependable, attentive to detail, and able to work cooperatively with a construction crew.
- Commitment to following job-site safety practices and instructions.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
