We are currently hiring an experienced Material Handler to support a busy industrial operation. This is a hands-on, outdoor position focused on moving materials, organizing the yard, and helping maintain a clean and safe work workplace.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, is comfortable operating a forklift, and is looking to get their foot in the door with a fantastic local business. While the position is initially expected to run for approximately 1–2 months, there may be an opportunity for the role to extend longer.

Pay: $22.00–$24.00/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Duration: Temporary, approximately 1–2 months

What You’ll Be Doing

- Operating a propane-powered forklift to safely move materials throughout the yard
- Moving and organizing crates, metal components, and other industrial materials
- Handling heavy, awkward, and oversized pieces of metal
- Supporting general yard cleanup and organization
- Loading, unloading, relocating, and staging materials as required
- Assisting with the removal and organization of scrap and unused materials
- Working outdoors throughout the majority of the shift
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
- Communicating with team members to ensure materials are moved safely and efficiently
- Assisting with other general material handling and yard duties as required

What We’re Looking For





- Previous forklift operating experience is required
- Comfortable operating a propane forklift
- Propane certification is not required, as in-house training will be provided
- Comfortable performing physical work and handling heavy or awkward materials
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong awareness of workplace safety
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, metalworking, construction, warehouse, or industrial environment is an asset
- Experience using a blowtorch is considered a strong asset
