University Admissions Counsellor, Part-Time

Renert School, on of Calgary's leading private schools, locatedin Royal Oak NW, is looking for an experienced University Admissions Counsellor to guide our high school students through the university application process. You will advise students and their families on admissions to universities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, helping each student find programs that fit their goals and present the strongest possible applications for admission and scholarships.

Responsibilities

- Advise students and families on university selection, applications, and deadlines in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
- Guide students through applications, personal statements, essays, and supplemental materials
- Liaise with other Academic Advisors to help students plan coursework, standardized testing, and extracurricular activities in line with their university goals
- Provide guidance on scholarships and financial aid
- Communicate with school staff and families as needed

Qualifications

- Past experience advising students on U.S., Canadian,



and International university admissions
- Extensive familiarity with U.S. and British university admissions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with teenagers and their families
- Patience, warmth, and a collaborative approach
- Criminal record check with vulnerable sector search required prior to starting

Schedule

About 40 hours per month, mostly during school hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are versatile and can arrange a schedule that fits your existing commitments.
