We are currently hiring Packaging Operators for a leading brewery and beverage manufacturing facility in Kitchener. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and are interested in operating and supporting high-speed bottling and canning production lines.

Packaging Operators are expected to be flexible, safety-focused, and capable of learning multiple positions throughout the production process.

Example Rotation:
Week 1

- Monday & Tuesday: Work
- Wednesday & Thursday: Off
- Friday, Saturday & Sunday: Work

Week 2

- Monday & Tuesday: Off
- Wednesday & Thursday: Work
- Friday, Saturday & Sunday: Off

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor equipment on high-speed bottling and canning lines
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of production equipment
- Perform bottle depalletizing, rinsing, candling, labeling, carton forming, packing, sealing, pasteurization, and palletizing activities
- Complete mechanical equipment changeovers as required
- Conduct quality inspections and product checks throughout production
- Complete production paperwork, checklists, and documentation accurately
- Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment both manually and electronically
- Assist with machine cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Participate in training and cross-training opportunities to develop additional skills
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

- Previous manufacturing, packaging,



or production experience is preferred
- Experience working on conveyor lines is considered an asset
- Quality control or inspection experience is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Comfortable completing paperwork and production records
- Ability to work rotating continental shifts, including weekends and holidays

Working Conditions

- Fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Cold beverage production facility
- Some areas may become hot during production processes; heat breaks are provided
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, and climbing
- Regular use of stairs and elevated platforms
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals while wearing required PPE
- Work involves handling tomato-based products used in beverage and juice production

Additional Requirements

- Must be comfortable working with tomato products
- Must not have allergies that would prevent working around tomato-based products
- Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals while following safety procedures
- Comfortable working at heights and using stairs throughout the shift
- Able to perform physically demanding work for 12-hour shifts
