BAMSS Contracting Inc., a trucking company specializing in the transportation of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) throughout Western Canada, is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities include:

Dispatch drivers and equipment throughout Western Canada efficiently to meet customer needs

Coordinate with drivers to manage drivers’ daily and shift hours as per NSC regulations

Monitor weather forecasts and systems throughout Western Canada to accurately relay information to drivers on road

Maintain site maps and location directions, monitor road bans, and advise drivers of changes in road conditions

Coordinate equipment repairs, deficiencies, and routine maintenance with mechanic shop

Report on-road and worker incidents to safety coordinator and dispatch supervisor

*Dispatch supervisor role includes supervising dispatchers, and assisting with/handling high-level concerns in addition to the above

Requirements:

Exceptional professionalism and communication with customers, clients, and colleagues including drivers and mechanic shop staff

Knowledge of safe handling of dangerous goods and loading facility/unloading site requirements





Knowledge of relevant regulation: trip permitting, weights and dimensions, HOS, dangerous goods routes

Computer skills: typing, sending emails, data entry of loads hauled, use of GPS tracking software for vehicle tracking, printing and creating driver maps/site location directions

Other requirements:

Shift work: 5 on – 3 off (on-call while on shift)

Qualifications:

1 to 2 years of directly related experience in the transportation industry; experience in transportation of bulk dangerous goods products preferred but willing to train right candidate

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google suite: Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and Gmail email and calendar

Knowledge of Truck Dispatching software an asset

Knowledge of ELD software an asset

*Supervisor role requires 2-3 years supervisor experience
