Capital Southern Transportation Inc. is seeking a reliable, safety-minded Truck Driver for local pickups and deliveries for afternoon position. We’re looking for someone who communicates well, takes pride in their work, and provides skilled customer service.
Responsibilities
- Complete local pickups and deliveries safely and on time.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report defects.
- Ensure freight is properly secured.
- Assist with loading and unloading as required.
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic logs accurately.
- Communicate with Dispatch regarding delays, delivery issues, and job progress.
- Follow company procedures, customer site rules, and applicable safety requirements.
- Keep the truck clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario licence appropriate for the assigned straight truck, and AZ- air brake endorsement.
- Previous commercial truck driving experience-minimum 3yrs.
- Satisfactory driver’s abstract and CVOR record.
- Familiarity with Kitchener-Waterloo, GTA and Southern Ontario surrounding areas.
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including freight handling.
- Strong communication, punctuality, and customer service skills.
- Experience using Isaac ELD is an asset.
