Material Handler & Counter Balance Operator- AM SHIFT
We are looking for a picker/packer tor who also has experience working a Counter Balance Forklift in a food warehouse environment.
This is a manual (non-computerized) environment and requires lifting up to 50lbs. There is no RF scanner or electronic pick sheet.
Forklift operators will need to transport valuable items, requiring diligence and good hand-eye coordination. This position is 40% forklift and 60% warehouse work.
Responsibilities:
- Manual Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
- Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
- Identifying workplace safety hazards.
- Adhering to safety management standards.
- Adhering to production schedules.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate.
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Positive organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Food industry experience is an asset
Position Details:
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.
- Pay Rate; $23.50/hour, 40 Hours/Week
