Truck Driver – Local & Alberta Highway (Calgary-Based)

Operating Area: Calgary (local) and Alberta highways only

We are currently seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our Alberta-only operation. This role involves a mix of local Calgary work and highway driving within Alberta. Drivers will operate in compliance with Alberta Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and company safety standards.

This position offers consistent work, modern equipment, and a stable schedule with no cross-border travel. Since we are an Alberta operation you will have the luxury of coming home at the end of each shift.

Responsibilities

- Operate commercial vehicles safely and professionally within Calgary and throughout Alberta
- Complete local deliveries and highway runs as assigned
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in accordance with Alberta HOS regulations, explicit understanding of ELDs and digital inspections logs (We use Samsara)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently (including hand-bombing if required)
- Strong knowledge of Alberta Transportation Regulations and Safety Requirements.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta Roads, weather patterns, and safety protocols




- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations staff
- Ensure cargo is secured and transported safely and will be required to take pictures of load securement and every stop.
- Following defensive driving procedures (Harsh Breaks, Turns, acceleration, is all monitored and will affect your safety score)
- Mobile usage is strictly prohibited while operating company equipment (Mounts will be provided)
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws

Requirements

- Valid Class 1 Alberta driver’s license
- Minimum 2–3 years of commercial truck driving experience
- Experience with both city and highway driving
- Strong knowledge of Alberta Hours of Service regulations
- Clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment checks
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to work day and/or night shifts

Pay: $51,696.00-$79,920.00 per year
