Our client, a growing transportation and logistics company in Surrey, is currently looking for an energetic supervisor to join their dynamic team.

The main tasks:

- Effectively supervising a team of forklift operators.
- Monitoring shipping and receiving operations to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Coordinating operation flow and staff scheduling.
- Training new employees and tracking their progress.
- Performing daily team meetings in accordance with day’s objectives.
- Loading/unloading trailers according to company procedures in a cooler environment.
- Moving products with an electric counterbalance in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ensuring the freight is loaded properly for each destination.
- Ensuring the appropriate temperatures are applied for each destination.
- Communicating frequently with the manager to optimize operations.
- Ensuring compliance with the standards for the merchandise.
- Ensuring a safe work environment.
- Reporting and recording any incidences or violations in a timely manner.
- Executing any other tasks related to the position.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of proven work experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a refrigerated environment an asset.
- Experience working in a Cross-Dock facility an asset
- Valid counterbalance forklift license.
- Knowledge of RF scanners.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards and protected work practices.

Salary: $30 per hour.

Schedule: Evening or Night shift
