Position Overview

We are seeking a caring, motivated, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about child development, committed to best practices in early learning, and eager to contribute to a supportive, inclusive setting for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 0–6.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Observe, document, and assess children’s progress.
- Support children’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth.
- Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Follow licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with the team to create culturally responsive and accessible programming.

Qualifications

- Valid ECE certification (ECE, ECEA,



or equivalent based on provincial requirements).
- Current First Aid & CPR Level C certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working with diverse families and children with varying needs (an asset).

Assets (Optional but Preferred)

- Experience in inclusive or special-needs settings.
- Additional training in ASL, behaviour support, trauma-informed care, or early intervention.
- Ability to support cultural and linguistic diversity.
