What you'll be up to
- Cook up a variety of tasty, comforting menu items using our recipes and standards
- Chop, assemble and plate dishes that look as good as they taste
- Keep food safe, stored properly and handled with care (our residents are counting on us)
- Serve meals with a warm smile and a friendly word. Residents love a good chat with their cook!
- Keep the kitchen and dining areas sparkling clean, shift after shift
- Follow food safety and health regulations like the pro you are
- Team up with your fellow kitchen crew to keep service smooth, even when it gets busy
- Restock supplies and help with inventory when needed
What we're looking for
- Experience in food service, restaurants or kitchens is a plus (but a great attitude goes a long way)
- Know-how with food handling, safety protocols and meal prep
- A genuine love of looking after people through food
- Calm and organized when things heat up, with an eye for detail
- A good communicator and an even better teammate
- Flexibility to work some weekends and holidays when needed
- A commitment to high standards of food safety and hygiene
