Career1 is currently hiring a Quality Inspector / Mechanical Inspector for our manufacturing client in Mississauga, ON. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with experience inspecting machined and fabricated sheet metal components in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect machined and fabricated sheet metal parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Verify incoming mechanical components against purchase orders, engineering drawings, and industry standards.
- Record inspection results accurately and complete inspection documentation.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Identify and report quality issues while working closely with production and quality teams.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform other quality-related duties as assigned by Quality Management.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, or similar manufacturing quality role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, including:




- Vernier Calipers
- Micrometers
- Height Gauges
- Feeler Gauges
- Coating Thickness Tester
- Digital Protractor
- Other precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Positive verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting as required.
- Repetitive inspection tasks requiring close attention to detail.
- Must follow all health and safety policies and maintain a clean work area.
